Alright this is going to be long winded post. I am in the process of redoing my whole setup. Tank is a 180 gallon which is located in my fish room. Roughly 36ft away via the way the plumbing runs is my sump. I am looking at where and how to mount the apex and the best way to go about this. Currently it is mounted directly under the tank in the basement (6' or so away) I am finishing off my basement which will include a dedicated fish room.

What I control with the controller is my heat, calcium reactor, lights, ATO, AWC, and soon to be an ozone and possibly my two vortechs. I am also looking into getting auto feeder.

I am contemplating actually mounting the Apex under the tank in the living room. Then having special cords made up for the electrical to run to the sump. However, I am concerned with cable length for the temp probe and also the cord for the PH probe.

My other thought was to leave controller where it is now to somewhat shorten the runs of cables.

What does everyone think? Should I do something different? Buy another EB8 to place by the sump where some of the "life support" equipment is located? I am taking my time on this build and doing things the right ways so any and all input would be appreciated.

If anyone needs clarification or something doesn't make sense don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you in advance.

I would keep as much as possible in the fishroom. May be have an EB8 and vortech controller (WXM?) mounted under the stand.
