HOW?

How is it possible to have green hair algae, cyanobacteria, dino, a little bubble algae, aiptasia green hair algae and bryopsis at the same time? All came out of nowhere with nitrates at 2ppm. Possibly all came in on my frags from a well know vender? I know the aiptasia and bubble algae did for sure.. This sucks what to do now

2. Prioritize what you want to tackle first
3. Limit reactive impulse to fix everything
4. Do one thing at a time to verify it does what you intend

Breathe. It is a reef, there is gonna be stuff. One day at a time. As long as you keep your water quality up, they wont become plague proportions overnight. hang in there!

My guess is that your nitrates are much higher and continue to replenish themselves. BUT your mega-plague outbreak is consuming them rapidly so your test kit is reading lower levels.

What are you feeding?

I'd worry most about the dinos and be careful to not use ultra low nutrients to try to control the algae.
