How'd this get up here?

So I've been watching this coral since it was just 2-3 polyps and have done some research on my own but would love your guys opinions! Please excuse the cyno.

There are a few more spots but the colonies were close to those rocks at one point and time, I swear ive had xenia less evasive than this pocillipora, you can see one by the seritapora on the right. Oh and there has been two different colonies slight color morphs acquired from different mother colonies in this tank together since before they started spreading.
 
Pocillapora releases free swimming larvae. They can settle anywhere in your tank. I'd start covering it in kalk paste or epoxy if you don't want it spreading even more.
 
Larvae that are genetically different than the hosting parent?
