Hey everyone,

I was recommend to join this site by Nick from Cultivated Corals. Seems like a pretty nice forum! Anyway, my name is Melody and I've been in the hobby about 2.5 years now. Just barely long enough to know how not to make silly mistakes. I started off the hobby with a 24g Aquapod tank, which didn't stay in stock for very long. It was sold about a year ago. I upgraded to a 26g bowfront + 10g sump. This was sold over the summer. I currently have a 12g Nano which is really just a holding tank for my two fish, which I have had since I started the hobby. I'm pretty attached, you could say.

I am starting a 20g High tank in a couple weeks though, I will incorporate a 15g sump, AquaC Remora, ReefKeeper 2 and JBJ ATO. I ordered the HelloLights 4 x 24w T5 fixture they had on clearance, I received it today (GREAT deal for $125, I may add...) and can't wait to get started. I have a fellow reefer who will be helping me to drill the tank and make the overflow box. Tomorrow I will be painting the back black. Just need to pick up some Krylon Fusion spray paint.

revhtree: thanks! I love these dogs. They get such a bad reputation through no fault of their own. The world hates my dogs because of the stupid mistakes that irresponsible people have made. My pit bull, Magnum, just got his Therapy Dog certification in Nov. We start doing volunteer work in January when his ID badge comes in. He's a truly kind, gentle soul...but because he's a pit bull, he's hated. Makes me sick. He's also a shelter rescue, was left to die in an Orlando high kill shelter. I'd love to meet his previous owners, show them what they lost. It'll be 3 years on New Years Eve since he's been with me.

welcome 2 reef2reef. I own a pit myself her name is whiskey and she is 8yrs old. We have had her since she was 4 weeks old. been thru alot with this dog but would not give her up for anything. Very loyal dogs and great with people as long as you treat them good they will play good. I will see if I have a pic on this computer and post it up.....mike
