Adam (or "Chet," if you like )here. I'm brand new to the hobby, but very excited to get started (this weekend!)... I've already posted a thread in the newbie section (New to Saltwater & Reef Aquariums?) regarding my somewhat unusual starting point... You can see what "stuff" I've picked up there. Diesel was kind enough to reply quickly and give some pointers, fastest reply I've ever gotten when joining a new forum. Great to be here!
I'm in the metro Atlanta area, so would be interested in finding some local clubs/folks to chat with. I'll (hopefully) have my new (well, new to me, anyway) 90g setup running pretty soon, and look forward to learning more and growing/improving my system, sharing thoughts & advice with other members.
Figured I'd buy used b/c it's just my first reef venture. That, plus my wife gently "suggested" that I buy used rather than dropping mega $dough$ on the more elaborate systems I'd been looking at... I've read on here for a couple weeks prior to making my purchase, and am glad I did. I feel like I got a pretty decent crash course!
