This is our Fluval evo, we current have some algae issues but I will explain that later in the post.

The tank has been running for about two months, all our fish and inverts were bought from reputable shops.

(Note: Glass is slightly dirty and my camera is not perfect. The water is clear.)

Stock list:

2 clowns
1 spotted cardinal
1 cleaner shrimp
2 turbo snails
1 nassarius snail
2 red leg hermits
1 citron goby (yellow clown goby?)

Coral:

Every one is healthy, I feed the coral with reef fuel, and the fish with brine and flakes.

2. Parameters

Ph: 8.3
Kh:11
A/N/N: 0
Cal: 450
Ma: 1250*
Po: out of test, will get on Tue.

*raising slightly today

3. Sump

All stock, but threw in some ceramic in part 1&2.

4. Issues

The only problem we've encountered so far is the algea. I have added some pictures, and I need advice on what to do about it.

Note that my closest lfs is an hour away and I will be going there on tuesday. All help apprecated!

Thanks,

Tank just looks young.
How’s the flow? What kinda lights and how long are they on? How often are you doing water changes?
I would stop feeding the gsp, add a few astrea snails, add a few blue leg hermits, scrape the glass often, toothbrush the live rock prior to water change, add some macro to display, do more frequent water changes and let the tank mature.
You’ve got a nice live rock there. The tank is going to look better with time, you are off to a good start.

OK, thanks! I'm afraid I can't get any astrea snails, pretty much anywhere in my country... I'll get a toothbrush. Lights are stock, ~12hrs a day. Flow, I can't remember I'll check later.

Ugly is normal for a while! Are you using rodi? I’d also cut lights back a bit. Maybe 9-10 hours until the algae starts to go down some.
