Huge Black Slug

had this guy show up a while ago. Saw him one night munching algae. He was much smaller and I figured a good algae eater is a good algae eater and he's always Jst out of reach. Not sure what kind and the pic is the best I can do. On the back wall in the pic, truth is, I rarely see him. He's pure black with 2 pretty large antenna looking protrusions on the head area. Prob like 3-4 inches now, no coloration other than jet black. Anyone ID, and good or bad? I've heard if a some die they can nuke the tank.
