I have a 75g Fish Only tank with a 2' SnowFlake Eel, Purple Tang, Trigger, Small PuppyDog Puffer, and a Large Hermit Crab along with some urchins. I noticed that the fish were not eating well. After a couple days of observation, My tank had full blown Ick. Panic, I did. I pulled the fish and placed into a QT. But because I have skins and scales, I don't dare use copper, so I am trying hyposalinity at 1.009 and using baking soda to maintain PH. I am leaving my DT untouched for 1mth. Any ideas for this disaster. :ooh:

First, are you sure it's ich? Because hypo does not treat velvet (for example). Can you post some pics of the afflicted fish? Also, when was the last livestock added to your tank?

I always suggest tank transfer method although ich is the only parasite it will work for. Correctly identifying that first will be key. If the fish were absolutely ridiculously covered in spots, it may not be ich.
