I am amazed by how big this guy has grown and I'm curious how large they can be. Is the size of the aquarium a factor on the growth? This is in my 125g, in the pic is a chromis to help see size.

About 18" in diameter typically is max size.
Looks like it's reaching for more light in 2nd pic, I've seen them stretch out a bit more expanding surface area for more light, not sure what your lighting is.

T5s 48" 2 super daylight HO and 2 actinic HO, It has gradually moved away from the bright part maybe moved further than it wanted. It's a strange alien lol I have An 8 bulb total however my corals don't like them all on.

I was doing the coral shuffle for days keeping them out of its path. My husband was freaked out and said can we just put it in a hamster ball. I about died laughing though it is a thought ...jk. You can see a huge dip in substrate where it was.

I have an elegance coral in one of my smaller tanks that is totally out of control, It is near a foot across during the day. I have considered getting rid of it. Can't move it to one of my other tanks as it just doesn't do as well, had it in my 125 at one point did ok but not thriving like it is now. Not sure what to do

They can be picky and a pain I often think of trading mine but honestly I'm too attached. You could start a new tank for it lol. I have considered this myself. But I would be trying to find out the differences in the 2 tank and match them. Could be as simple as flow. I'm not really good with anemones but have grown this 1 from softball size to dinner plate size in just under a year.

After looking at its info I would think lights a small tank would be shallow therefore light would be closer. I don't know your set up for light it's just a guess. Also yours is a coral and photosynthetic which is what I based this assumption on
