I had a GREAT IDEA. I will put a pinch of garlic in my 30 gal QT then feed my little clown fish. I got the garlic powder, dumped, and it poured. 3 tbs or so.

I put a power head to increase flow, had a couple sponge filters that caught a lot... I rinsed the sponge filters and plan to do it again, but should I be worried? Should I drop them and put them in my display? I don't want them to die.

I wouldn't worry too much, change half the water if you can. Keep an eye on them for a while watching for heavy breathing.

I think you should be using a liquid garlic. never heard anybody using garlic powder. also mix the garlic with the food and then feed.

Yeah, I agree with the food. Never did that before. [emoji1] won't do it again

I am gonna drip for the display tank it's not worth the risk. They are healthy and ready.

My two small fish are as happy as can be in my sump. Today I will go get an anemone and try to force them to host it.

garlic is usually used to entice a fish to eat. I don't see any reason to add it if the fish is eating on it's own.

This is why I added it, I just did not mean to fill up my tank. There is some who believe that it is also good for their heath regarding ICK prevention.

old wives tale. will do nothing for ich. may help a fish with ich eat, but doesn't do anything to prevent it.
