Check out this blasto colony I picked up last week! It is the biggest colony of blastos I have seen. It's about 35 meaty heads!

Great looking colony... 35 Heads... That would last my Goldflake angel about 4 days to annihilate :) Hope it grows well for you.

I have a potters that I suspect of nipping at some of my other blastos. The ones in question are on the other side of the tank. It's kind of weird only blastos on the left side of the tank seem to have a polyp or 2 die off recently. The ones on the right side do fine. I have never seen the angel pick at anything though so I don't get it.

I had two small (12-14) head colonies of bright tomato red blatos. And they were doing great in the tank, one colony on each side of the tank. Then when I switched from XM to Radium bulbs they got burned. As soon as they started opening up only part way the Goldflake just decimated them. They he turned his attention to a colony of bright red Zoas (100+ head). He left 4 zoas on the rock. I moved it up near the surface and he left the remained alone.

I have 100's of zoas but everytime I get something blue or ultra cool - he wipes them out.

But he's such a pretty fish, he's still much cheaper to keep happy and looking good than my girlfriend :)

Here is my Blasto colony, also have 35+ heads. They cover almost all the rock (to count them I have to wait until morning, when is dark and the heads are closed).

As you can see they show two different color patterns: red border with metallic green centers and red borders, metallic green ring, red centers with metallic green mouths! (sorry for the bad picture:squigglemouth:).

That's cool how there is two different types on the same rock

A guy sold me his 75 gal aquarium with all the corals he have inside (not much: some Plate Fungia, Candy Canes, one Open Brain and this beautiful Blastomussa). I don't know how are two different types toghether on the same rock, but they are nice!

Yes I did, I almost never buy online. I like to support the LFS and with all the great ones we have here there really isn't a need to shop online.

Makes sense to me. It must be very nice to be a reefer in Orlando. Very nice find.

It doesn't suck at all! Quite honestly having in my opinion one of the best if not the best lfs's in the country (wwc) has really made the other local stores to step up their game. It has also brought a lot of new stores to the area and I have to think it is because of their success. There is a lot to pick from which is good for my tank but not my wallet lol.
