Weirdest thing happended today after doing a water change. I check my parameters a day before I do a water change and the numbers were normal for me. I did my water change and wait till the next day to check my numbers again (I dont always do this but I did it this time). I was lookihg at the tank and everything just looked happy, the acros were extended and just everything seemed happy. I checked my nitrates and they were at 3.89 (Hanna Checker) but the night before nitrates were at 25. Now I have been running this tank for years and Have never had a drop in nitrates that quick and all I did was a 10 percent water change (about 20 gallons). Only thing I did diffrent a few days ago was change the timing on the cheato lights to be longer (for PH). Has anyone else had this happen?
