I’ve noticed that the smart plugs and the quad power outlets do NOT turn themselves back on after being unplugged. Will they also fail to turn back on after a power outage?

Which smart plugs and outlets are you referring to specifically?

I can vouch that TPlink Kasa smart plugs will turn back on and resume regular programming after power has been cut to them.

Disregard!! Sorry about that - I was doing my rounds for "unanswered threads!" ;Wacky

I’m posting in the CoralVue Hydros product forum. I’m referring to all Hydros plugs/power centers.

Mine turn back on after a power cycle. Not sure if it is because the Hydros Control 4 turns them on or because the plugs are programmed to turn on. There are many ways to configure them such that they won't turn on. How are you using them?

Hello! It sounds like you might not have them programmed properly or maybe not programmed at all.
They should most certainly resume their programming after a power outage.

I believe your mistaken about how the controllers control the outlets.

Hi, thanks for your reply! I’m relieved this isn’t the expected behavior. My quad strip is programmed and connected via WiFi to my control 4. If I flip the breaker, the power light LED surrunding the power button comes on solid red, and doesn’t provide power again until I manually press the power button. Is there a way to change this behavior?

Btw, overall I love the Hydros Control, excellent system, easy to use, and surprisingly low cost (when I returned to the hobby recently, I was expecting to get a Profilux). Great job with this platform! Here’s hoping the app will soon have push notifications and be able to send SMS’s to the 95% of the world that doesn’t live in the USA ;)
