one of my local fish stores is discontinuing hydor line,,, they have these things markdown almost half price does anyone have any experience with this pump and power head if so I sure would like to get some good feedback. it's almost too good of a deal to pass up but I sure don't want to waste money Thanks

One of the best out there. I use Hydor Powerheads, been using em for years. If they are half off, I'd jump on it myself.

Lol,, do you know what the life span of these pumps and power heads areI'm thinking about buying out the entire inventory

Life span, hmm good question. I've been running one for 10 years now, its just now running in the sump instead of the DT.

Thy are the only ones o that price range I would use. Worse case scenario they kick on in reverse sometimes which can be solved by poking something in te impeller to jolt it back to normal. I use mainly koralia since they are cheap but I have an aqueon of the same price with no magnet that works well on my wavemaker for some strange reason. Might be the altitude, I'm in Indianas flat land.

I use hydor pumps for my tank as well. I have used the original models and the evolution line. The evolution line is a little nicer but my evo 1400 kicks in reverse every once in a while. Not sure if i just got unlucky or if that is a common problem but I have one of every other pump they make and have no issues. Great pumps overall.
