This thing is in my sump. Stumped. Thought it may be a retracted anemone but it’s never come out if it is…
2 x face on pics (appears to have a central hole) and 2 x from the top. It’s stuck itself onto the glass. Any ideas?

Yeah, probably a Pineapple Sponge (genus Sycon) - harmless filter feeders. They're common in new tanks. You typically see a boom then bust in population, with them going away after a while.

They are honestly a good sign to see! Sign of the slow slog to maturation. You will see some periodically as the system matures after the initial boom bust in dark protected areas of your tank like behind powerhead casing and in your sump.

It can be difficult to tell sponges from Tunicates - Many people merely leave both of them in their tank/sump. Overfeeding/ high nutrient levels can cause an 'outbreak' of pineapple sponges. Up to you whether you want to take it out or not.

I pulled something similar out of my weir a while back, looked to be an overgrown pineapple sponge. Was big a round as a quarter and about 2 inches long.
