Is there a way to humanely euthanize a fish?
I have a royal gramma that hasn't been right in a long time but since my tank crash 2 weeks ago she has completely gone downhill. She doesn't eat and is to week to swim so I have her in an acclimation box. I feel like this is just to cruel to keep her like this so is there a way to euthanize her?

So sorry.

You can use clove oil. Some say freezing, but I think that actually is worse since the fish has to survive the temps until it final reaches the point of hypothermia.

Have you tried different foods to get her eating? Stabilized the tank after the crash? Get her into a QT tank? I'd try and see if you can get her eating with multiple different foods before going the permanent route... she could just be incredibly stressed after the tank crash and needs more time to come around...

As sad as it is here is how we do it when it needs to be done.

I’m really sorry about this. I know it can be hard. I wouldn’t kill it though. I have a royal gramma that I thought was a goner. It came back and is doing well now. Try different food, garlic, and anything else you can think of. I will personally never kill one of my fish.
