Hello everyone. I am looking for a little advice. I have a 110 gallon tank and I live in a 2 bedroom apt. My house thanx to my tank and the fact that i live on the inter coastal doesn't help In Miami.

My house feels humid and it smells of humidity what do you guys suggest i do to solve this issue. I keep my AC on at 75 degrees everyday.

I am desperate to solve my problem please help

The AC dehumiditfies the air before it can start to cool it. My water has a sea smell when I do not run carbon, maybe running carbon through a reactor and see if that helps.

Im running a dehumidifier and as mentioned the AC is set to 75, In miami that bassically means it is running most of the time. The carbon Idea is something ill give a try as well, thanx for the replys lets see if anyone else has any ideas

I agree that a dehumidifier is the way to go but I would caution you to incidences of mold. Look in the corner of your ceiling and around any clutter, possibly in a closet. These areas will show mold first. This is the real issue with humidity beyond the comfort. If you do see any mold forming you can do a 4 to 1 ratio solution of water to bleach... or better yet get a product called triple action 20 to kill any mold. I don't really like to use bleach around my tank cuz it fills the air with noxious chemicals. hth good luck

lazyreefer: Maybe in the midwest where we live in the winter... but this guy lives in Miami. Its pretty humid there to begin with. I guess you are the lazyreefer so that is a fitting response. Cheers :)
