Humu Trigger and Puffer ?

Does or anyone have had a humu and puffer in same tank? Favorite fish is a humu, but would like to add a puffer along within. As of now tank is a 110gallon, which will be upgraded soon.

Get along? Issues?? Worries???

My triggers, clown and Niger, have no interest in my puffer. It's the angel that picks on him.

Usually they will be fine together, but they (triggers and puffers) are very individualistic, so some are are more peaceful and some are more aggressive. Getting young specimens and adding them close together helpd.

I've had lots of different triggers and puffers together, never a problem. In fact I think they go well together. My new tank will be puffers and triggers.

The only issue is bio load. They are messy but like you said you are looking for an upgrade.

mine bullied my puffer even though the puffer was much bigger than the trigger.

sounds good. I will plan on at the same time and close to size.

Have a porcupine and stars & stripes puffers in with my humu and Niger triggers for years, no problem. I may just have well fed docile specimens but yeah, not an issue keeping them together.

I have a picasso and dogface puffer in a 210g now and have kept them in other tanks together, they do fine together. Humus do grow slow but both would eventually need a larger tank. Which puffer are you talking, porcupines can get aggressive especially in a smaller tank.
