I have a 15g setup for a little while, just noticed that when the lights go out in about 30 mins the whole tank and rocks are covered with these tiny white snails. They cant be any bigger than a 1 cm or 2cm. They are just hundreds of them. Are they bad for the tank? Can they harm my zoanthids?
Thanks in advance

I'd need a pic to be sure but it sounds like they might be stomatella snails, which are fine. I had a 20 gallon tank with a hundred of them and they never touched a single coral. Do they look like they have a flat shell stuck to their backs?

I dunno the species, but if they look like lil turbo grazers they are fine, the only snails to eat zoas that are common is sundials, they have a checker board like, black and white stripe pattern.

THANKS I Will post a pic today when I get home. It was pretty late last night, they are only 1-2 mm. 1-2 cm i would have no room for anything in my tank.oops
