All of my chalice frags get fed regularly to try to help growth.

But my Blue Magic is always hungry.

They are probably somewhat spoiled. :) I only sleep 4 hours a day.
I defrost the Mysis ( I use Hikari Bio-Pure because I like the smaller size they average) in a shot glass right before I cut off the Actinics. After about a minute of defrosting in tank water the water looks milky, I pour that in the tank, some whole Mysis come out too but the fish snatch them up. Then refill the shot glass w/ water and the still mostly frozen chunks of Mysis and cut the lights. I log on to R2R and surf for about 30-45 minutes then cut the actinics back on while I target feed. Then I cut the lights back off, and surf some more(or play halo), I wait another 30-45 minutes and target feed again. This way if there were any late bloomers they get a chance and if I missed any eyes or if the feeders are back out I feed the first ones again. I do this 3 times a week at least.

Wow now that's dedication! What time do your actinics go out? Also, I've always wondered if we're feeding the best quality foods - they all seem pretty low quality to me; maybe if there was a higher quality, corals would get more nutrients and grow faster? Just my ramblings for the morning.

I tend to cut them off around midnight. I don't run them on a timer. All my other lights turn on and off by themselves. So far I really like the Hikari Bio-Pure Mysis, or if it is tiny Cyclopeeze. Mine tend to grow a little faster than average but most important is they look healthy.

Thanks for the compliments.

Here is a pic from February of the same frags. :) It was taken at night and I used the flash so... yeah dumb.
They are in diff locations but are the same frags. what impressed me most was the Tyree Red WM that is in the bottom center here and in the top right of the other 2 prior pics. And the MH, this thing grows FAST.

Hey Naclcrocodile, is that a carpet anemone in your avatar? Its amazing whatever it is. Sorry, off-topic.

I feed mine almost the same way except that I target feed each chalice frag eye. Takes forever but it is very satisfying. I have one chalice that is an absolute hog. It can eat 3 meals while the others are still on their first.

Love those pix, and you're feeding proceedure.

very awesome david. everything is looking good. that blue magic is a monster, always throwing out those long tentacles!

keep doing what you're doing :D

Thanks everyone.
