Does anyone know if the Hippo Tang will kill other fish? Do they kill hermit crabs and snails? I keep finding dead bodies and the hippo is hiding like a dog that knows it's in trouble.

ive never heard of them going after anything other than tangs, but there is occasionally an odd fish out of any family, have you checked parameters and do you have any wrasse that could be killing the crabs and hermits?
