Whos prepared for this? Are we gonna have a bunch of tank crash threats after it passes? Post your emergency plans.

I have no idea if it's going to impact us in New England, but I filled all of our gas tanks so we have plenty if we need to use the generator.

I'm in jersey... buying a generator tomorrow just incase... leaving it in the box if I don't need it (which I hope I wont) I'll return it. Not taking any chances... I was out of power for 3 weeks during sandy 1.5 weeks without a generator but I didn't have a aquarium back then.

Latest on weather.com, looks like it will miss us and be pulled out to the ocean. Thank god!

I also hope for all you guys in the Northeast that it will make the turn towards the north east that is predicted. I went through Donna in South Florida in 1960 and everyone here since then. Wilma ripped my roof off by the rafters in 2005. You have to take each one seriously and they're all different! Good luck and be safe.

Hold onto that generator.....you will eventually need it....could be a bad thunder storm or an ice storm in the winter. It is worth the investment to have some peace of mind.

I think still to early to tell the path.Late friday early saturday is when it will move North and we will know what path it takes. We are also suppose to get rain till late Sunday. If joquin does hit us it will be bad with rain for the last 2 days

Where are you located?

When Sandy hit our block was the only block with power. The block behind us and the houses across the street lost power for 6 days. It's like we where in a bubble and didn't get any outages, power, cable, internet and phone were all working through the whole storm. I did lose my Jeep Liberty when a pine tree next to the house fell and crushed the back of the car, two weeks after I bought it too.
With this storm approaching it got me thinking that now with a tank set up I need some form of back up just in case. I think I'll invest in a small generator this weekend.

+10000000000

A freak thunderstorm with winds sustained at 70+ mph knocked out power for close to 4 days. I did not have s generator.

I agree hold onto the generator. Eat the money now and know you are safe for the future and don't have to run out ever again for a generator.

We have battery backup for the house, our solar panels charge a bunch of RV batteries that give us power for roughly 3 days with no sun. Fortunately after a hurricane or any storm for that matter its usually pretty sunny following it.

I gassed up the truck and purchase 13 gallons of gas for the generator yesterday morning when the hurricane track was landfall and impacting NJ. Also prepped the generator and got the extension cords run to the house.

I live in a town surrounded on three sides by water....Raritan Bay to the East, Raritan River to the North, and the South River to the West. Sandy hit our town pretty hard with over 300 homes flooded. I was without power for over seven days.

Glad to wake up this morning seeing the newest models showing it staying out to sea. I'll be putting the extension cords away when the rain lets up a bit.

Yes sir I am very happy also to see that also... I'm 1 block from the beach in long branch.

Looks good right now... That track changed fairly quick, I am wondering the likelihood of it changing to head back east though.
