Hurricone cat 1 question....

So I have a cat 1 coralvue hurricone I want to try to modify before I need to use it. Is it possible to add a gate valve to it? I would love be able to adjust it easier than with the pipe.... What do you guys think? Is it possible? Thanks in advance!!

Its possible to add a valve to it. If it doesn't work to your needs you can always leave it open and you've done no harm.

Then how do I adjust it?? If I leave it off....

Water level. Which makes it a bit tougher, but it can be done. I'd add the valve myself. That skimmer runs just like all the new ones do.
