BIOFRESH CDWe had a bad case of Penicillium mold in our ducts. We're getting the whole duct system replaced but they are treating the system with Nu-Calgon Biofresh CD. Here is a link to the chemical which has an sds sheet for as well.

No offence meant but I'm just curious how you ended up with this in your ducts or even why you found it? Just asking because we've been in our place for close to 30 years and never even thought of having ducts checked for anything.

I would limit air intake to the tank while they are treating, but once they are done spraying, I think it won’t hurt the tank.
Perfect. Tank has recirculating skimmer so no risk there. And I'll cover the display top with saran wrap for a bit. Thank you Randy

Well I live in Texas and during the 2 weeks of 108 degree weather I cleaned my condenser coils outside then evaporator coils inside to help with efficiency. While cleaning evaporator coils I looked up into the plenum and just saw mold everywhere. Ducts are flex kind and too old to roto brush, so new ducts it is lol. Highly advise getting coils and ducts cleaned yearly and filters 1-3 months depending on where you live. Dust in the vents feeds mold

And ac unit ran with no filter for idk how long by previous owner. So that's probably my mold issue

Gotcha. I was thinking the galvanized metal ducts like we use here in OH. I lived on the eastern gulf coast of TX for a few years so I know exactly what you are talking about.
