Just picked up a box of this to try based on the good reviews but noticed afterwards that they had a potassium issue around Black Friday last year. Has anyone used this lately from BRS and tested the potassium? Thanks

Do you know what levels of potassium the bad mix had? I would think a year later that stock should all be gone.

It was in the 200-250 range. And I had a few batches mixing at 4.5 alk. I even used to tumble the salt before mixing.
I mixed up a 25 gallon batch last night at 35 PPT at 78 degrees and it measured:
8.4 Ph
7.7 Alk
410 Calcium
1480 Magnesium
I don’t have a potassium test kit yet so I’m still a little hesitant, test kit will not be here till Monday! It did mix up very clear with absolutely zero precipitation. Doesn’t have that funky smell that Reef Crystals has as well which is a plus.

1480 Magnesium

How much of a water change were you planning on doing? Let's assume your tank has 390 ppm K (it probably has less, especially if something in your tank consumes it) and the new water is a bad batch and has 250 ppm K. A 20% water change will only drop K by about 30 ppm. 360 ppm would be low for K, but probably not the end of the world. And that assumes you actually have a bad batch.
Have you reached out to Bulk Reef Supply or the manufacturer? They may know more about that particular batch, or if it was still in stock.

Just a 10% water change, I’m sure that they probably have it taken care of by now but just like to be sure. Just added around 20 new SPS frags in the tank and don’t want to stress them anymore than necessary!

A 10% change would only lower your K by 14 ppm. That assumes that your tank is at 390 ppm and the batch is bad at 250 ppm. I personally wouldn't worry about it and would just verify the K on Monday with the test kit.
