Hybrid Pro Salt by Aquaforest

Does anyone know when the @Aquaforest Hybird Pro Salt going to be available stateside?

looking at this the Hybird Pro Salt, this salt is going to my go to salt when I get my hands on it.

The Hybrid Pro Salt is like the reef salt now, with probiotic salt mixed In, with real sea water flakes. One other thing is like about the Hybrid Pro, is it has a 3 day shelf life once mixed, over the current Probiotic salt that has a 24 hr self live after mixing. The Hybrid Pro will work perfect with my auto water change.

The link to the Aquaforest website about the Reef Salt +. The Reef Salt + seems to be there reef salt with higher parameters for systems that absorb more nutrients.


I would be be interesting if we could some thought from @SewerynAquaforest

Right now I am using the reef salt and adjusting my salinity up if needed with probiotic salt. I also run my alk around a 7.5 and the tank grows more Coraline the with a higher alk.

BRS has great pricing on the current Aquaforest salts I was over looking this morning to see if the new salts were in stock.

I'm happy that I switched to AF and that it's finally available on a consistent basis. I saw nothing in TM Pro that indicates it's better than my AF.

It is now December 28th, still no sign of the salt yet. I would really like to give this salt a try. Any updates?

I order two large buckets and I am now on line with the Hybrid pro 4/29/23.

One thing I notice is, how the color of the corals are enhanced immediately.

So far I am liking this salt.

There are many factors, such and the probiotic‘s feeding the corals the waste more efficiently. With the waist being absorbed by the corals the water is cleaner. I could add more but Aquaforest could add more.

I call it like a see it. It is like a doctor said to me the other day. “I do not go entirely by the test results”. I also look at the patient to make my diagnosis”. It not all about the number is how the tank looks.

If I lived closer to the factory, I would make a trip to see the factory. I will make it over to Poland soon though.

I would suggest starting a separate thread with your question. Your question is going to get buried here here in this thread. I would also suggest, to just order one of the salts and try it out. With the Aquaforest salts, one runs a lower Alk than most other brands. I learned the over time and experimenting.

Also no one will give a simple answer for which salt to use.

My simple answer for what to use.

Probiotic salt and the hybrid are for someone who want to run a low nutrient system or wants to get the nutrient under control or lower their nutrients.

Reef salt and reef salt plus. Is for someone who want to run a dirtier system with the benefits of using non probiotic salt

Sea salt, is for someone that wants to dose but start with a base to dose up from.

I have known other that have run only the probiotic salt and run beautiful growling systems. I have run great system with the reef salt but have run it two nutrient issues here and there. I get busy and do not have the time sometimes to check and clean the system all the time.

I have not tried the Sea salt.
