The sedra pump shut off on me last night just as the last one did. It didn't feel hot to the touch, nothing crazy anyway I thought. So I unplugged it for about 25 minutes and plugged it back in. It instantly turned on and went back to work. I'm assuming that it got hot and shut down, so I mounted a computer fan I had laying around to the back of the pump and it will blow on it 24/7. Hopefully this solves the shutting down issue. If not I'll be ordering the sicce psk-2500 for its replacement.

They've always been prone to having the impeller magnets swell; it's just a matter of time.
Check your impeller, and I bet you find the problem.

Funny you mention that, I did pull it apart before putting it on the skimmer and the magnet did appear a bit swollen. Since I've added the fan the pump and run flawlessly for the last couple days, and my house has been quite warm inside. So I'm thinking I got the stuck pump problem figured out for the meantime

Here are some pics of the new additions. First the sticks from a good friend who I turn to first when it comes to getting them somewhat local. Some pieces took shipping a little harder than others but nothing I am too concerned with, but maybe I should be since I'm the "acro killer" hahaha
First up, the acro that got me into the stick game some years back. I was pretty disappointed when I lost my original piece way back when during that first big crash. I got it again so I am stoked!

Not totally impressed with the pics of the fish, glass was dirty and he kept hiding. I also got a few other fish but they were all tucked away for the night so no pics. I'll get some better ones tomorrow hopefully of the new guys in QT.

If I had to guess, I would say this mystery hobbyist with the nice sticks is probably more "local" to SW Ohio ... Dayton or Cincinnati area perhaps? Lol.
