A little late with this update, but better late than never lol

The Geo's skimmer has been running really well with just the 1 ehiem 1262 with the modified impeller. I am planning on ordering a second ehiem in the near future to reach the full potential of the skimmer. The pic posted is 2 days of skimming with just the one recirculating pump. I decided to take the sedra pump offline because quite frankly it was pretty loud. The ehiem hums along almost perfectly silent and I love it.

It is indeed way better here. I keep telling everyone! The user interface here is leaps and bounds ahead. Only reason I go over "there" is because they are all there and I have my duties to preform.

@ZJedi945 we have a club forum here that will keep you informed on all the meetings and we keep our PMASI and Pittsburgh Marine Aquarium Society facebook pages up to date as well. We are in the works on making a new website because of "politics" that prevent us from being able to maintain the pmasi.org site for awhile now. Please feel free to come to a meeting to check it out. We meet the 3rd Saturday of the month 6pm, Elmers.

Some fresh pics of the sump area since @TaylorPilot diy baffle kit thread is seeing extra attention lately. I still have a couple wires to put away but all in all I think it's holding up pretty well since I installed the new sump a couple months ago. What you think @mdbannister ? No salt creep

Next up is making/buying a custom ato container to replace the 20xh. A 20L is 1/2" too wide to fit between the stand and wall so that's out

so I will get one or make one to fit the area I need and keep a low profile that you can't see it from the front. It's an eye sore to me now lol

Here are a couple update pics of some corals in the tank. Since they have changed my schedule at work I haven't really seen the tank during the halide hours. A few of these piece have really grown since my last pics of them.

Jason Fox Firecracker acro. Its finally starting to pull some red thru, this piece has been through the ringer and somehow survived my tank crash last year.

The famous Thanos acro of mine. looking baller as always

ATL Strawberry Fields. Also survived my tank crash and is looking good, I still need to get the pink tips to come out more.

Reef Raft Fruitopia

Tyree Rouge Milli. Lost a little color since my radiums are at the time to be swapped out.

Elegance Coral doubled in size since I got it. This piece is really growing on me

Unique Corals Strawberry Shortcake acro

Thermans Rainbow. This piece has a long way to go yet, although its already grown a good bit since I got it from @mdbannister as 3 tiny little nubs

That Strawberry Fields, wow! It really caught my eye!

Don't quote me on this, but I think I read somewhere once that said it's okay to have the aquarium lights on at different times, even if they don't align with the actual night and day schedule outside. Meaning you could have your tank be in "night mode" at certain times of the day, or "day mode" during other times (as long as the time the light is on/off is consistent). Not sure if that's accurate since I have never tried it before, but I imagine it may be difficult to keep the tank dark enough during the day if the room gets a lot of light and you want to keep the tank dark, not sure though.

The strawberry fields is one of my favorite pieces, definitely an eye catcher.

Yes you can run lighting opposite of the normal day cycle easily. Of course having a completely dark room helps with this, but as long as it doesn't get direct sunlight from windows or doors it will be fine.

Do you have any issues with the red algae? I have a similar algae and many of the very same corals you do. Some of them don't care about the algae but other acros seem to get overtaken. Any idea what it is?

No none at all, it seems to be just on my rocks. It's a weird type of turf algae but I'm thinking it's growing because I am due for my radiums to be swapped out.

Came home tonight from a fun filled day and the 180 was completely dark and quiet. For some reason the gfci I hAve the system plugged into tripped and the entire tank was of. I reset the gfci and quickly checked fusion, the temp was down to 75.9 (not terrible) but noticed that there were massive amp spikes at 10:10pm, and when I say massive I mean massive spikes. Here is a screen shot of the graphs

As you can see every EB8 experienced a spike except the eb4. Any clue what could have caused this? Anyone else ever experience this? There were no power outages while I was gone, kinda stumped by this.

Also forgot to mention, obviously after the initial spike the gfci shut off so there was no power but yet the eb8's continued to register power spikes up until after 1am, I got home shortly after that.

I had the same issue happened to me Thursday night. Weird
