So my tank temps have been hitting 81 degrees lately with the metal halides. That's not too terrible but I still felt like I needed to knock it down a couple degrees.

So I put these on

After one day that have def done the job. My tank never went above 80 degrees. From the front they don't look bad either, but I'll update that with a better pic later.

The fans are plugged into the apex and are programmed to come on and run as long as the halides are on. I'll most likely modify this in the winter time to be on a degree control.

So I got this yesterday...

I love me some pint/pilzner glasses for some reason. Pretty stoked to add this one to the collection from @Bulk Reef Supply

The BRS rodi water saver (100gpd), red sea energy a & b and some phosphate checker reagent.

Installation of the water saver was super easy, it took a matter of minutes to install.

There it is on my vertex 100gpd rodi. For the price I feel this is a upgrade that is worth doing if you can. If you have higher tds from the tap it's not recommended to run this. Being that my tap tds is at 80 it will work fine for me.

That's the vertex tds meter. I put the other one on as a backup.

That's some low tap tds! You could add another tds meter for before membrane and after membrane before Di. Nice to know rejection rate and membrane life

That's a good idea, I think I have a dual inline tds laying around somewhere. If I find it I'll hook it up

It's a 2nd membrane that the reject water from the first membrane goes thru before going thru the waste water line. The kit came with a inline 2 to 1 fitting so all rodi water from both membranes goes thru the di together.

Thanks for your incite and I'll start it slow and see how the lps and zoa's react to the KZ snow.
As long as it does not strip out all the water columns nutrients, like too much ROX, then all should be good.

Yep it's out there somewhere I'll see if I can find the link to it

I heard the kz coral snow has a chance of killing vertimid snails so I ordered up 100ml of it if it (brs 10x points )works out I will be continuing with the make my own version

You mean vermatid snails? Haha yea I do, but not many. I used to have a bunch but they have def dipped down in numbers.
