Looking at get a hybrid fixture that will accommodate my 2 radion xr30s. The fixture houses 4 bulbs, 2 in front and 2 in back and was just curious what t5 bulbs to get for it and what placement.

The Aquatic Life T5 hybrid fixture would be an awesome choice.
For your bulbs there are two recommendations that I generally go with.
Two ATI Blue+
One Coral +
and One Purple +
Do one blue + and one coral + on one side of the fixture, and then one blue + and one purple + on the other side of the fixture.

My other recommendation is to do
Two Blue+
and Two Actinic
one of each in both sides of the fixture.
Hope this helps :)

Awesome! Is there benefits to doing one over the other you recommended? Like I said I have 2 radions going with them.

I would go with the two blue + and two actinics with your setup. Let the radions take care of the whiter channels ;)

Ok thanks. As far as running them. Should they run same schedule as radions? I only every ran leds and all my tanks run for about 9 hrs a day.

This is what I did for mine. I had a Kessil AP700 with the aquatic life fixture, what I did was had my lights on a 10 hour cycle. The AP700 would come on first dim and blue and ramp up over an hour to white and the max intensity I had it set at, after that hour of ramping up the T5's come on and it stays that way for 8 hours. After that the T5's would turn off, and the AP700 would ramp down to off.

Sweet! Sound good. Just trying to stop some shadowing And get better growth!

As much as I absolutely loved my AP700, my explosion in coral growth and corraline growth occurred after I added in the T5's. So much so that I'm actually giving Metal Halide T5 hybrid a try right now.

Now I just i have to figure out mounting. I have a canopy so hoping i can get it in there.

Mine was hung from the ceiling. But if it helps, I found 8 inches off the waters surface to the bottom of the fixture to be the sweet spot for the T5's over a 40 breeder (36x18x17) :)

So looks like I only have roughly about 13-14 inches under hood so will only be able to squeeze two bulbs(one in front of led and one in back) is it still worth build this hybrid if so which to bulbs would be the best choice?

Yes, it is worth it. Bulbs are up to you, but you do have the ability to change the scheme on the Radion to compensate. I would go with a pair of Blue+ from ATI and then dial in your LEDs to the color that you want. I would run the T5 at least 10-11 hours and let them do the heavy lifting.

Ok cool I was thinking a blue + in front and then a coral+ behind.

I’m planning on adding t5s to myAP700 as well. Do you have a picture of your tank with your lights on? And what bulbs did you use? First or second recommendation?

id say try a purple+ and a ab blue special. people really under estimate the purple bulbs your be amazed what some purple will do.
