I know hydnophora has a really strong sting but is it enough to kill either of these pest anemones? I had something growing out of nothing in my tank which I was very excited to see what it would become. Only it turned out to be majano. I was worried it would spread to my GSP or hydnophora but then thought, "yeah, you go for that hydnophora and see what happens." So now I am thinking I could move the rock with the majano up to the hydnophora and just let it kill the majano for me. But I don't want the hydnophora to get hurt or die. Anyone have experience with these two meeting?

If you can move the rock just cut the majano out. Don't let it squirt you in the eye or you will have major problems.

In my experience, hydno is much harder on stony corals than softies. I know a majano is not a softie but I have constructed a wall of hydno to contain palys and it indeed stopped their spread but the ones that grew to touch the hydno were not killed.

I bet a Hollywood stunner would give the majano a kiss it would never forget. A stunner does indeed kill palys so I am sure it would a majano.
