The pump says up to 30" high. So with my set up in the picture, will the pump be strong enough to pump water up? If my bucket of fresh water is on the ground, then I have my Aqua lifter pump on my stand where the bottom of the tank sits, and then the tubing will go from the pump on the stand to the top of the tank. I'm wondering if I need a stronger pump, because I do not have a sumo and my bucket to the top of the tank is a decent distance. My tank is 29 gallons. 30" high. Fowlr tank. Will the Aqua lifter pump work with my set up? What tweaks do I need to make for it to work? Or do I just need a stronger pump?

The pump on my stand ( the tubing ) will travel up 30" to the top of the tank. And then the second tubing going from the stand where the pump is to down under the stand into the reservoir bucket. Is this pump strong enough to pull and push the water with my set up? Please help thanks guys.

I only have experience with the Aqua lifter being used to keep suction in my u-tube overflow boxes so I'm not sure how well they deal with head pressure, but I would be surprised if it did not work in the way in which you would want it to. I say give it a try. If if doesn't work just put a stool under the bucket to raise it up a foot or so.

It's a strong pump. So your using it as a ATO. Trying to understand your float switch is in main tank? And reservoir is the bucket. Is that the stand your using. I think it best to have a sump on the bottom and ATO replacing it into the sump. But you can do it that way. My lasted about 3 years and the pump was around $14. Like stated you can raise the bucket on something if you wanted to to help with the height. But pump should handle it as a ATO. If I can make a suggestion about your LR. It would look better if you redo your rocks to a island it's would look better and safer from fallen. Nice clownfish setup...

Thanks for the advice, I'm moving soon so when I take everything out and move I will try and check out the island look. The rocks are pretty stable, it's not like big foot will be walking on them. Lol. But I'll check it out. Thanks for the advice
