I'm running two of these (Hydor Koralia 3G's) on my Red Sea 525xl, mounted to the side of the tank (1/2" glass). The pumps are rated for 3/5" glass, so while I'm close, I'm still under.
Every so often (twice now), one of the two pumps falls out of it's mounting and makes a royal mess of my tank. Not something I'm happy with. Not sure what the cause is; might be a snail nudges it, might be the mount is just loose, might be me not mounting it properly, ...?
I didn't know what I was getting when I purchased these. Had I known what I was doing, these would not have been on the list of possible options, but such is life - money spent and they're in the tank. Thing is; if there's no solution to this, then I'll be replacing them sooner rather than later...
Thoughts? Suggestions? Anyone else with these pumps have this issue?
