Hydor magnet corrosion

If something is organic and metal what color does it change? Would Ferrocene be red or tan/brown? Questions i had while looking at it.

Honestly i thought it would be red, had dosed iron about 12 hours before i put in the poly filter.
Here is their chart.

Brown can be organics, or it can be a combination of everything. Iron would likely give the brown just a reddish hue.

Ferrocene? You mean the organometallic compound ferrocene, or just iron bound to the polyfilter?

FWIW, I'm not convinced all of their colors are correct for seawater. The aluminum being red claim, for instance, makes no sense. Aluminum ion is never colored.

The organometallic compound, not saying was in my water. Just popped in my head, if it was, what color would it change, sorry for the confusion.

Maybe they assume the deposited compound is Aluminium chloride contaminated with fe3+?
