Right now I have my skimmer in the far right compartment of my tank. It seems to be working great. According to the manual the water level should be at the mid-height of the grid to guarantee adequate surface aspiration. I wanted to move it one compartment over where I typically seen others have their skimmer. This would put the water level below the grid. Is this a option, or should I level it where it is?

I would leave it wherever puts it in the proper water level....if it is working good where it is at, I would just leave it :) That being said, I used that same skimmer in my AIO.....you can easily move it up and down quite a distance since it is held in by magnets. I am surprised it can't be adjusted for the middle section?

Thanks for the quick reply. In my tank, the far left and right compartments allow for water to perfectly reach the mid grid. In the two inner compartments this isnt the case because the water level is too low there. I could increase water level but this would mess with the flow in the back section if that makes sense.

Ok...I see what you mean.....if it is in the middle section, you can't get the water deep enough. Doesn't seem to be a way around it with that model skimmer......I would just leave it in one of the outside sections. Doesn't really matter where it is at as long as it is effectively skimming and not throwing a bunch of micro bubbles into the tank.
