Hydor slim skim opinions?

Got a 36 bow with no sump was considering a slim skim from hydor. Anyone used one before? What's your thoughts?

I've used mine In a ruck tub, worked pretty good for me. There was a complaint I've read about their pumps suddenly losing their solid state and giving a shock tough. So I'd search for something along that to make your decision better.

I have been using a Slim Skim Nano for almost 6 months now without any issues. It took a while for it to break in but now works flawlessly. The collection cup is kind of small but, being a nano, is expected.
