Anyone using this unit currently ever had a problem wit it?
My issue is that at first the alarm kept coming on and off at random times no matter the water level and now it just doesn't work at all.
The calibration lights flash as usual when the unit is powered on then starts to top off no matter what the level is at. I've done several tests and it does not shut off the pump at all and the level lights don't come on (min, max or alarm).

Those get a lot of bad reviews. You can't beat the JBJ for both simplicity and reliability. Return that one if you can and get the JBJ. I got mine from Ebay for $65 shipped.

I have one on each tank and never an issue. far more reliable than float switches, ime. your might be defective.

I've had it for over a year and worked perfectly till now. Maybe an electricity surge or something damaged it... sucks.

Is your house the same temperature as the tank. Those units use a temperature sensor and acts up all the time.

Do you clean it? Mine acted up a lot when I first got it, knock on wood it's fine now, but I clean both pieces weekly, seems to help? Could be another issue entirely.

I've never heard of any kind of electronic breaking.;)

My hydor ato has been running great for over a year. Cleaned it once.. sucks that happened to you. The pump could have broke too. Or at least that could happen with any other ato you chose. Things break.

Call them, it has a 2 year warranty. I had one with the same issue that went at about 1.5 years & they replaced it no questions asked. Sent me a free unit & told me to just throw the other one away, so I suspect they had some bad ones out there. No problems since. Key is to call & talk to a rep, don't email. All they asked me for was the code on the back, no receipt or anything. They have good customer service.
