Hydra 26 HD Mount

I was looking into buying two Hydra 26 HD fixtures.

Are there any tank mounting options like the Radion one?

I don't like AI's one. I also can't use the EXT Rail system mounted to the stand.

I saw the Red Sea E Series will have a new sleek mounting bracket. Hoping to find something like that.

I think @California Reef Co. works with someone who makes mounts for most lights. Maybe pm them or hopefully they will chime in here

I built a temporary one until I move into new house out of leftover plumbing supplies.

I think the new kessil tank mount can be modified easily.

I'll be hanging them at new home in a few weeks.

Wait, so you cut that little nub off and it fits in between the fins?! You were comfortable hanging the light over your tank like that too? That is easily doable, could even paint the pipes to blend in a bit.

Yeah. The screw fits inside. (1/2 inch).
I mounted it to the wall with a 6 foot pvc pole Going to floor behind tank.

I was going to paint it, but found out my house offer was accepted as I was building this.

I didn't notice the screw in your first post. I went and looked at the light trying to figure out how you got that plastic piece to hold it good enough. I found those little screw holes. I can figure out a way to hang it from them, I just thought I had to use their hanging kit and didn't see it being worth 30 some bucks.

Conduit would work well too.
There are diy lighting mounts using it on the net.

I was just being lazy.

While it's probably not the nicest I just used old hanging cables from Chinese led and shelf arms from Home Depot !
