Hydra 26 hd settings

Anyone running the hydra hd series? If so what are the settings at? I like the ability to adjust the spectrums, but am afraid I will fry any corals. Even in the acclimation mode. Heck, you can adjust those too.

Where to start so not to burn? These are going over a 20 frag tank, what height should they be at?

Par meter can be your friend instead of guess, also increase fixture height from water surface is good to do as well. Nutrients levels play a strong role as well in regards to light intensity. Im running you Hydra 26 about 16 inches above water surface for 11 hours a day with all channels on 100 percent except for whites which are on for 7 hours a day at 68 percent, this fixture is over a Fusion 40g mixed reef growing corals very well

For what its worth it took a while to get to these settings about 5-6 mounts. Best thing i've ever done was increase the fixture height. Best of luck with your endeavor, though LED are tricky at first once you get them dialed in that are awesome.

Thanks guys! That is what I am looking for. Understanding that I would need to adjust it for my tank, but looking for a good starting point.

People may disagree with me on this but I've never lost a coral to an LED. All the corals I purchase are usually already under leds so Ive never acclimated any of them to the light. If your switching from t5s over to leds the acclimation mode is good. But if your just setting the lights up over a new tank just start the corals low in the tank and move them up no need to acclimate.

Mine so far still new to this hobby but light is hydra 26 hd over 18x18 cube about 18" off water mixed reef all corals seem to be doing great exception of my green birds nest who I've had for about 8 months that about a month after I got him turned pale and polyps while they still have excellent extension they have turned very pale green pretty much white but can't figure this out?! Happened after purchase under Chinese full spectrum led in same tank now with the new AI still no change but it's only been 2 weeks with it!

Also noticed your red's are 123% for some reason a lot of my corals didn't like the red so i'm running 15 percent.

Ya I do have them high but all other coral have really been doing well lps have been more puffy then ever!

So I adjusted my lights to my liking and put them on acclimation mode.

They are high, cause I ran out of hanging wire, but they are 24" off the water surface.

Used a well established, read well over a year, rock and placed my carpet nem in the tank. I got him about a year or so ago and with all the moves he hasn't looked so hot and kinda shrunk down. After just a couple days under the new lights, he has perked up and is looking better!

I'll work on getting some pics.
