Hello,

I am new to reefing & was hoping fellow reefers can help me out with a couple questions I have...

I will soon be purchasing a Redsea 650 with 4 hydra 26HD lights above aquarium..... my plan is to upgrade the whole sump area & run a refugium.

Will 1 Hydra 26HD light above refugium be enough for the macro algae / chaeto?
What spectrum is best?

Does anybody have any views on the Synergy Reef CL 60 sumps?

Thank you

A hydra 26hd will be more than enough for macro. I have a prime hd and macro does very well under it. I ran blues, uv, violet, and red at max with whatever left on white. When I had a lot of red macro I would run green at max. Any reason why you are going with the 26 and not the 32?

Also, any particular reason why you are changing the sump?

Thank you for your reply,

The Redsea 650 is being sold with hydra 26 lights, so I will only need 1 light for the refrugium..... I will be upgrading the sump for ease of maintenance
