Just thought I'd share how I hung my Hydra 26, this can probably be adapted to any other LED light as well. It's an LCD monitor mount I got from Amazon for $15 and a couple 2" L brackets from Home Depot. I removed the plate that attaches to a monitor and screwed in the L brackets in its place. The hardest part was drilling out the L bracket to fit the mount screws and painting the brackets black.

If you do this, make sure the L bracket isn't putting any pressure against the fan grill, if you do the fan won't run. I had to put 3 washers between the L bracket and the light where you attach the bracket to the light.

Great Idea, I made 2 but you will notice the brackets are further apart as not to foul the fans grill.

The fan grills are removable without tools. I removed mine to fit it against my Aluminum t-slot.

The grills are there to protect the fans. IMO they are best left in place to do what they are designed to do.

Which mount is this one on Amazon? How did you mount the L brackets onto the actual mount?

I bought my brackets off UK eBay but I am sure you can get them off US eBay and maybe Amazon. To mount The "L" brackets to the lights I used the existing threaded screw holes and just bought some bolts to bolt them on. I removed the TV bracket heads and bought some longish bolts to go through the "L" brackets into the bracket that held the removed head. I then used some black plastic conduit between the brackets and the head part left.

Great idea,

I did not want to have the mounts on the wall. I went a different rout. The way you did your mounts is brilliant :)

nice new thank too

It it ok if I post a link to this thread, in a thread that another member and I have ?

Thanks! It was the first one the pulled up. All the other mounts I have seen would have to be modified more than this one and you can't beat it for $18. Great idea!

Anyone know what size screws were used to attach the L bracket to the Hydra 26s? I saw another site comment to use 1" 10x32 machine screws. Can anyone confirm this?
