Hydra 26 on IM Lagoon 25

Just got a hydra 26 on my lagoon 25 reef tank mostly softies small amount monti and some torches currently im running 2 current USA orbit ic 24” light bars they are not the best lights. I’m wondering what settings I should use for the hydra 26, how much % I should acclimate them to the new lights, and how high above the water should I mount.

Check out BRS' recent vid where they give you the settings for the Hydra 26. Interestingly enough, I'd be curious if you could supplement the Hydra with at least one of those Orbit lights. I've got one over my IM20 Peninsula that serves as a moonlight.

I’ll have to check out the brs video thanks! I considered still running the orbit light bars with the hydra 26 although I thought it would be silly because the orbit of are not anywhere nearly as powerful as the hydra.

onto the wall directly in the middle here’s a picture, I made a mount from a tv wall mount

This is what I'm running, it was originally based off the AB+ for Radions then tweaked for personal taste.

My lights are about 12" above the water.

I recommend a 3 week acclimation.

I found that 12" off the water works well.

Thank you I think I will too with my last light bars it was such an annoyance to change any thing up let alone do a water change now I can easily move them out of the way completely or position them where I need more light. I found the idea on a thread on here a tweaked it slightly making my own L brackets here’s the link to where I found it

I have had reds and greens before but usually cut them out completely because I’ve heard they promote algae growth, what is your thought on greens and reds cut completely out

I saw that one when I purchased my lights. I finally went with the HMS mounts after playing around with a different concept. I did not want to wall mount or ceiling mount the lights. If I were going to wall mount I would go the way you are going

I’ll have to try light red and greens thanks. Check this out I actually mounted a strip of oak thats stained to match my stand running up from the back of the stand and mounted it on there. Just got it up running today check it out!
