i have a 3’ by 4’ Frag tank that is 10” deep I’m wondering if someone could help me with the hydra 26 settings I’m not sure what I should be running it at it’s currently mounted at 11.5” off the water thanks

Only 1 unit? SPS frags or a mix ?

Only one light just have one little frag rack in there for now untill I get a the third light and it’s a mix of corals sps zoas acans lobo blasts little of everything

Wow , 1 unit is gonna cover a 15-18" square. At least your shallow.... Several things come to mind. Are you getting frags from another tank of yours? Personally I'd probably try to match that if it's the case. If your starting from scratch - I run mine at 100% on all channels except white (70%) HOWEVER that's only at the peak Which is only 4 hours . I run a 5 hour ramp up/down. If you are just growing frags you should probably shorten the ramp up/down to say 2 hours and then have the peak 6-7 hours. I would use the acclimation mode for 4-6 weeks to start and after everything is running smoothly , as you add stuff start outside a little and move new addition slowly under the light. A little less on the white channel if you have fewer SPS or just arrange accordingly

These lights are pretty flexible , just try not to tinker to much with the schedule . There are a couple of good coral lab /ecotech schedules (LPS /SPS) as well.

I run 2 Hydra 26's and 4 36" ATI T5's over a somewhat similar size tank sps dominant, 22 X 42 X 12" tall. Run the hydras at 85% intensity at peak for 4 hours, all blue and viloet are at 100% and white + red at 25% and green at 10%. 4hr ramp on both ends. T5's are on for 8hrs running 2 blue plus 1 coral plus and 1 true actinic.

I'm also running Hydra 26HDs x 3, with 48" ATI T5s x 4 (same combo as above), over a Reefer 450 mixed reef including a good number of happily growing SPS. fwiw, Here's my current schedule for the Hydras, based roughly on what others have found to be successful with some personal tweaks thrown in. I'm still ramping up the duration on the T5s as they were only added two months ago; ultimately I plan to have them on for 7 hours a day.
