To all I have a 4 ft long tank by 18 inches wide is 2 ea Hydra 26 enough lighting or do I need to get a 3rd Hydra 26 for a mixed reel tank. Thanks

I would personally go with 3 but I prefer a lot of sps. You can cluster the sps under the lights and fill in with the less par demanding corals.

I would recommend it, the RSM S-500 is vary similar in size and has 3 Hydras HD 26.

Hello, this is my RSM S-500, the 3 Hydras 26HD provide enough light for both SPS and LPS. I waited a whole year to start with acros but I have now two ando both are thriving.

Hello, luckily for me the Red Sea tanks had the mounting rack ready for them, but you can also buy mounting brackets from AI and I think there is even a flexible rack for them. You can also hang them from the ceiling.

OP do you have the Hydra HD's or just Hydra's?

I have a 48 x 18 bowfront and have two. I have great growth when I am not crashing it
