I have the 4ft version with 4 hydra 26hd leds going in. I want to orient the led front to back. My Innitial mock up looks like the hydra is a rad large and will require enlarging the end brackets. I'm i looking it the wrong ? Ideas please.

It's interesting, all of the pictures of applications show the hydra 26 going length wise. You don't get nearly the color blending and shade reduction as orienting front to back.
My plan is to use 4, and compliment with 2 blue+1actinic, sub out the 4th with purple, coral+, or another blue+. I'm going to use the radium 20k program. Basically lower white, red, green. Boost others.

Correct, if you're looking to mount the lights front to back. youll have to get the extension brackets from AL.

Has anyone used the extensions? It says they are 24" which is way too much. They come with 18". The 26's need about a 1/4" more than the 18"s to fit. If rather not have to custom make the extensions, but will if needed. You would think they would make something adjustable.

Running B+A T5. In acclimation mode 30%. 9:30 - 8:30 with 2hr ramp. Running t5 at 12:00 - 4:00.

My first foray into either t5 or led. Had a t12 / 3 250w my system.

I meant to post in another thread I started. Wow

Hey how's that lighting hood sitting on the tank? Just simply resting on it all. Way round the rim? Ta

Need to be very careful about T5 temps in a canopy like that. You don't want bulbs getting too hot!
