Hi reefers!
First of all I want to apologise if this forum is not the right place for my post, I thought to place it on fish and disease forum, but my questions are not only related to the fish, so I decided to post here. Feel free to move the post to the right place if you think necessary.
Luckily I am reaching the end of my fallow period of more than two months due to a velvet outbreak. I am currently setting up my quarantine tank and I have a few questions.
I am trying to build my QT using all the equipment that I already have and save few bulks if it doesn't affect the correct behaviour of the system. I started into the reefing world with a all in one set up that contained a Hydra 30 filter, it didn't work so I have it on a box. Can I use Hydra as my filtration system for the QT?
After a lot of reading and research I found many articles that talk about quarantine any new animal that you want to add into the DT. My question is, can I use the same QT for fishes, corals and other animals? I would do the quarantine process independently, not mixing fishes with corals or invertebrates.
Thanks in advance.
