Hey guys just bought some diffusers for my Hydra 32s from 3DReefing. They were meant to fit the Hydra 26s but they fit the 32s aswell.
So far I like them and figured I share what I have found with my experiment.

Its hard for me to show through pictures but there is a difference in less light shimmer that dances at the bottom of the tank compared to when the diffuser is off. Although its not completely reduced there is a good difference you can see in person.

Im also noticing a PAR Difference of about 50 with the diffuser on. Overall more appealing to the eyes and can focus on the coral more.

Diffuser side showed an average of 300 and the Non diffuser side showed an average of 350 when measuring dead center on the light just below the water line.

It also seems like it slightly assisted in spread. Im noticing a difference in an average of increase in 20 par around the farthest edges of the tank compared to when theyre not on.

THanks for sharing this. I also have a Hydra32. I'm wondering if you had to raise your percentages? I've heard I may need to crank it up a bit.

Just received my 3DReefing diffusers for hydra 32s and a rented par meter from BRS. Showing 30-40 par drop with diffusers thru most of tank but able to bring that up with 15 point increase across spectrum. Biggest issue was restriction on spread causing edges of tank and center to drop 80 par, no increase would raise those areas. Have 48x18 75 gallon with 2 hydras running side to side mounted 14" from surface running Bertram aip. Also had no change in the shimmer still as bad as ever.

Update
Talked with 3DReefing and they recommended some changes and able to get numbers needed over most the tank and the disco ball smoothed out. Still an issue of par drop near edges but I believe thats my setup, 2 hydras on 4 foot tank and diffusers hang down and block light out at sides and in the middle. Glass tank with big plastic cross piece so didn't get 3 hydras.
3DReefing offered full money back which is awesome of them but I'm stubborn, going to keep messing with setup.
