I just broke down my 60 gallon tank and am transferring my hydra 52 to my Nuvo 20 drop off tank. While the light might be a bit overkill, I would rather it be used and have a nice spread instead of just a single prime that I have now.

I currently have the tank mount for the light but I emailed Innovative Marine and they told me the light is too heavy to mount on the back glass. Does anyone know of any other ways to attach the light to the tank that wouldn’t put pressure on the glass? I can’t mount it on the ceiling or wall as I’m in a rental house.

Attached is a picture of the mount I currently have

AI has a double arm mount kit that utilizes each side of the tank. I do not know if it can be modified/shortened to a specific tank size. Take a look at this and see if it might work. There are a few others on the page as well that may work also. I agree, no reason to waste a light.

Thank you for the link! I was looking at that but couldn’t find a cross bar that was short enough. The tank is only 20 inches long. I probably just need to reach out to AI and see what they say

Call them, they are super helpful. They just helped me fix 2 lights. Real easy to work with.

I will Monday, glad to hear they were easy to deal with. I tried once awhile ago and didn’t have good luck with them, maybe the person I talked to was just having a bad day
