Hydra 52 replacement

One out of three of my Hydra 52’s is shot. The director doesn’t recognize it and I cannot get the director to complete an update (keep getting error message). I’ve tried everything.

What can I replace this with that is similar, Hydra 52 HD? I’m considering just going T-5/LED combo. My tank is a 6’ 180 gallon so I would still need 3 Hydra 52’s for the hybrid fixture, no?

I have a 180 too. I was running 3 of the orig hydra. Once the went out I got the 52 hd. I’m not super thrilled with the led look so I ended up getting the ati hybrid fixture and mount the had into them. You have a few choice now. Since the 64 came out the 52 dropped in price but looks like they are going fast. You can get the 64 but pricier. If not worried too much about price I would do the ati wit 3 Kessil.

That is just personal preference. But the ati hybrid set up is a good way to go.

I did the upgrade thru Ai an sent in my 2 Vega am got 2 64 for 400 each so if you call or go to there web site you can send them in

Thank you. I have not thought about that option. Does the fixture get in the way of your Kessils?
