Tried connect my hydra 52hd with my new hydra 64hd they will not link together has anyone succeeded in pair them or do they have to be run separate?

They have to be run separate. Unfortunately :(

I really hope AI comes out with a fix for that issue I got the signature to pull over but this is upsetting to say the least. My buddy just bought 2 because i bought 3 for my new tank. I'll have to let him know.

I believe it has to do with the new addition of leds. So the same setting on a 26/52 would not be the same as on the 32/64. Therefore to get the same intensity and light configuration they have to be done separately.

Hey there,

Welcome to Ecotech where nothing is compatible and you must changes everything. I truly wish I could find a solution to this, and for that I’m sorry. But my advice is to not support them. Before hydra was bought out, they were well more ethical and now not as much.

Best advice is to use both lights but run two separate apps or if they are like mine it gives an option to select which one. You then can set the lights the same by aka setting blue to 90 on both etc. I was thinking maybe daisy link them if they have an Ethernet port and (daisy may not be right word), but Y the two cords into your route or whatever you use then link your phone to the router. Problem is they probably thought of this and changed the binary code and language or aka like computers some are 32 bit and 64 bit and need completely separate systems. Just in case I said some wrong words etc (i am terrible with computers but have had to make things like this work while I’m at work; when we can’t wait for IT to show up 9 hours later).
It may help or not but hopefully sparks something that will work.

I got a 32 when they came out but haven't seen a fix for this yet. To be honest it's one of the reasons I sold my other 26s. I couldn't get the colors to match no matter the settings I tried.

Still have the 32 but it's on a cube by itself instead of on the 4' as intended because it wouldnt match with the 26s.

That is true about the xr30pro got rid of my 3 before I even opened them up. Wonder what else ecotech will come up with an Ai reef link to have more then 1 light.

Trust me I am in the same boat.

I hated the fact I would need 4 radions to light my 6ft tank properly.

Hello,

It’s a bunch of coyote finish if you ask me, plus they are rude mean people to deal with. They are only in for profit. I have found other lights and they grow sps coral better in most cases than radions and hydras

Bump.... does anyone know if this issue has been corrected yet?

I have two 52 HDs and am starting a new 6' tank so I would want to run 4 units.... But I don't want to go through the hassle of selling the two 52's and buying 4x 64's.

Were you ever able to figure out a setting to make the colors match?
